Ok, I think there's something majorly wrong with the way my jaws was configured after i had to reformat this damned comp.
It now won't read in edit fields anymore, and it keeps saying things over and over again. Not only that, but it won't work in notepad anymore. Could somonell me what's wrong and how i might fix it?
Thanks, hugs to whoever can help,
Grifflet.

Sorry, I don't think I can help you yet, because I need a little more information.

Let's do it this way:

To add to Bob's suggestions all I could offer is that you reinstall jaws and choose automatic when doing so.

a repair might be good also. Be aware though, that you'll have to reset your settings again.

if using 8 get rid of it as fast as you can. lol.

What have you against eight? I personally find eight to be pretty stable, and definitely a lot more responsive that's for sure!
Loui, if I knew a bit more about your issue, I might be able to help. Feel free to catch me on MSN sometime if you want.

get rid of 8? ouch! i disagree!

Post 8 by fuzzy101 (The master of fuzz!!) on Wednesday, 14-Mar-2007 22:34:13

I disagree too.
I've been using eight for several months now and it's great.
The only time when I ever had a problem was when I had norton on this laptop.
Then I was having problems where it wasn't reading anything.
After I got rid of it though I've never had a problem.

Ok.
1. jaws 7.
2. windows XP.
3. I had to totally reinstall windows as i had viruses...does this help?

hmmm, that shouldn't make any difference. are you sure you have all your jaws settings set the way they were? i really don't know what could do this.

Okay, just a thought, do you have the Google Toolbar installed or perhaps it was installed with another piece of software? I have removed google toolbar and desktop from machines and that has cleaned up those kinds of problems.

oh yeah, forgot about the google stuff. google doesn't like jaws for some reason

Hi louisiana. You have a virus called horses downloder. Go now and download AVG anti-virus version 7.5, now! hurry!

If you have jaws 7, get rid of it now, lol! Jaws 8 is a whole lot more stable, and does much better with edit boxes and text. Jaws seven is so slow sometimes, and stops while jaws 8 is faster and works well.
